Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay was carted off the field with an apparent back injury during Monday night's playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Slay appeared to get tangled up during a tackle and was seen favoring the lower side of his back before help came.

However, during the Eagles' locker cleanout on Wednesday, Slay confirmed that his injury is nothing "major" and he expects to be "completely healed" in three weeks, NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro reported.

When asked the specifics of his injury, the 33-year-old couldn't recall exactly what the doctor told him.
"I don’t … It’s real big-ass words," Slay said, via Zangaro. "I don’t know, I’m not good at English. I tried to tell them when they was talking to me to dumb it down. It’s like a small little tear in the back."
Even after missing five games this season due to injuries, Slay still managed to lead the cornerbacks in 2023 with 57 tackles, 14 passes defended and two interceptions, including one he returned for a score.
The five-time Pro Bowler is under contract with the Birds for two more seasons following the $42 million extension he signed last March.
